THE CRUNCH RETURN TO THE UNION!

The mid-80’s saw the creation of a four-piece band at Ohio University called The Crunch. The band started on the steps of McKinnon Hall on South Green and the formative days were spent in a practice room at the old Hanger 5 bar on South Green. The band had a long-standing residency at O’Hooleys and the Dugout as well as performing for surrounding Big-10 school fraternity/sorority parties.

The band has been through several line up changes over the years but now are back to the original founding members: Matt Aurigema – Bass/Vocals, Bill Dutcher – Guitar/Vocals, Deno Stanley – Drums/Vocals and Brian Wolbers – Guitar/Vocals. The music has been the common denominator that has kept the band members and fans together all these years and that momentum is coming to the stage at The Union in Athens, Ohio on Saturday, July 23rd.

We’ll be paying tribute to all the great songs that formed the band’s direction as well as pulling out original material from the band’s catalogue.
